"The organization of management and supervision of infrastructures and roads"

The committee of the Prefecture of Heraklion approved the constitution of legal entity of public right and its name is: "The organization of management and supervision of infrastructures and roads". Its Greek discretionary abbreviation is "ODEYO". This organization has got lots of competencies of the Heraklion Prefecture. They are related to the administration, supervision, maintenance, function, improvement, elevation and development of diverse infrastructures in the Heraklion County.

This organization aims to manage, supervise, maintain, work and develop. Moreover, it gives emphasis to improvement- elevation of the transportation and energetic sources of the photovoltaic systems that produce electric power. Additionally, it focuses on the industrial agricultural, port, touristy, cultural, and environmental, (systems of environmental protection and humanity's health). Also, there is focus on the natural and developmental infrastructures. These infrastructures belong to the competence of Prefecture or to bearers of the public sector.

It satisfies all the needs of the bearers that belong to the sector. It deals with telecommunication, data (computing, internet) and video (teleconference- tele- education) in order to improve the function of the public services.
